sweet nā€™ salty rutabaga

Ingredients:

1 large rutabaga washed and peeled and cut into 1ā€ cubes

2 tsp Persian-lime flavored olive oil, or 2 tsp plain olive oil + zest of 1 lime

1.5 Tbs coconut aminos or coconut amino sauce and marinade Note: The latter will give a sweeter flavor.

I prefer the Bragg brand coconut aminos for a saltier flavor or Big Tree Farms organic Coco Aminos Seasoning Sauce and Marinade. I buy the former off Amazon and the latter at our local grocery or health food store.

Instructions:

  1. Combine all ingredients in a large bowl.

  2. Mix thoroughly to coat.

  3. Pour contents of bowl onto a large sheet of aluminum foil. use a rubber spatula to get all liquid contents onto the rutabaga chunks on the foil.

  4. Close foil around rutabaga and pinch to seal.

  5. Place foil packet on hot grill or in 375-degree oven.

  6. Cook for 30-40 min depending on desired tenderness.
